Want to learn to skate? New to our sport? We have classes for all ages and skill ability from beginners to advanced! Join us weekly in our Learn to Skate classes for the most fun you can have on ice!

Our goal is to have our participants gain confidence and personal strength while providing a fun and positive experience that will instill a lifelong love of skating!

Our Learn to Skate program will follow the Learn to Skate USA curriculum.  More info about Learn to Skate USA can be found here

All skaters registering in our learn to skate programs must register or renew their Learn to Skate USA membership. There is a registration fee of $18.50 per skater. This applies to both first time participants and returning skaters. If you have registered through Learn to Skate USA in past seasons, login to your account and renew your skater’s membership here. If this is your first time, create an account for your skater and pay the registration fee here.

BEGINNER LEARN TO SKATE

Skater Registration Fee: $150 – FREE for first time participants*

This is a fun program for children with little to no skating experience. It is geared towards skaters who would like to learn the basics of skating and who would like to transition into hockey or figure skating in the future. Skaters will learn to fall down and get up, balance, forward and backward skating, 2 and 1 foot gliding, swizzles, and stopping. There is no age limit, although the majority of skaters are ages 4 and up.  Space is limited to 30 participants.

ADVANCED LEARN TO SKATE

Registration Fee: $150

This is a fun program for children who have learned the basics of skating and want to further develop their skills in preparation for hockey or figure skating. This session is great additional skating practice for mini-mite and mite level hockey players. Skaters will learn proper forward and backward skating technique, power and control, forward and backward crossovers, turning and edges. Space is limited to 30 participnats.
